Focusing on Progress Over Perfection: Celebrating the Wins of 2024

At the end of each day, staring at my to-do list often leaves me feeling worn down. It often feels like there’s always more I could have checked off.

Looking back on 2024, that same perception lingers. While I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished as a mom, entrepreneur, and lawyer juggling countless obligations, my mind still gravitates toward missed opportunities and unchecked boxes.

But lately, I've realized how much energy I spend fixating on the gaps. In doing so, I often overlook the wins that deserve celebrating.

As the year comes to a close, I’m making a conscious shift.

I’m celebrating the wins for my clients, including:

  1. EB-5 immigrant investor approval for a long-time client after overcoming unexpected complications and past visa denials.

  2. National Interest Waiver (NIW) approval for a client who’s a groundwater management expert under expedited processing without a Request for Evidence (RFE).

  3. EB-1A approval for a talented cinematographer, bypassing an O-1 visa by building a strong case for extraordinary ability.

  4. O-1A approval for a CEO and their company after evaluating multiple visa options.

I’m focusing on progress, not perfection. In 2024 alone, I handled approximately 100 cases!

I’m giving myself grace for what I didn’t get done and see them as opportunities in 2025.

The to-do list will never be fully checked off. And that's okay. What matters is recognizing the wins and celebrating the progress.
